About the Song:
Sit and Stare is more than just a song about heartbreak, it’s a reflection of what happens when everything goes quiet. It captures that stillness, the heavy pause when you're left sitting with the weight of what was, what isn’t, and what might never be.
Originally written in 2021, the song sat on the shelf for years. The first version never quite felt right, too compressed, too distant, not true to what it was meant to be. It wasn’t until 2025 that Dustin revisited it, not just with a producer’s ear, but with a deeper understanding of the emotion behind it. After experiencing heartbreak in its rawest form, he returned to the track and remixed and remastered it himself, bringing in the soul it had been missing.
This isn’t just a breakup song. It’s a healing song. A release. A mirror held up during the quietest moments when you’re left alone with your thoughts. Sit and Stare gives that moment a voice, one many know, but few talk about.
