THE ARTIST
About Dustin
Texas roots. A life in music. Songs from lived experience.
FROM THE TEXAS GULF COAST
Music was always there.
Raised in the greater Houston and Gulf Coast area in a musical family, Dustin grew up singing. Choirs, school music programs, solos and contests came first. Guitar followed in his early twenties.
By 2006, he was performing professionally. But music lived alongside everyday responsibilities. Work in aerospace as a NASA contractor and later in the petrochemical industry shaped his perspective on time and the things people postpone.
Eventually Dustin decided to put music first. That decision did not create the songwriter. It gave the music room to become the center of his work.
SONGS FROM LIVED EXPERIENCE
Different sides. One voice.
Country, blues, soul and Southern rock all have a place in the music. The consistency comes from the person and the lived-in stories behind it.
Relationships, desire, regret, work, family and time keep showing up through ordinary things: a clock on the wall, a locked guitar case, an empty room.
In 2026, he recorded three original singles in Nashville at Beaird Music Group with producer Eli Beaird: “The Fall,” “Shackled To Time” and “Drunk On You.” Different sounds, different emotions, and the same songwriter.
