Artist biography

Dustin Harper is a Texas singer-songwriter whose music lives where country, blues, soul and Southern rock meet. Raised in the greater Houston and Gulf Coast area in a family of musicians, he grew up singing and performing before picking up guitar in his early twenties. He has performed professionally since 2006.

Music remained a constant while he worked in aerospace as a NASA contractor and later in the petrochemical industry. A period of major change led him to put music first. That lived experience informs his songs about relationships, work, desire, regret, family, time and self-recognition.

In 2026, Dustin traveled to Nashville to record three original singles at Beaird Music Group with producer Eli Beaird: “The Fall,” “Shackled To Time” and “Drunk On You.” He continues performing throughout Texas while building a catalog rooted in real lives and recognizable places.
